Hello, we are Quinten Bafort, Marie Lambert, Ewout Crombez, and Reindert Devlamynck, and we are members of the European Duckweed Network. We share a common interest in duckweed and are convinced that it can offer solutions to several challenges we face today and tomorrow.
We noticed that we also share another story. In the early years of our PhDs, we found information on duckweed to be very fragmented. The sources we found were sometimes outdated, and we didn’t have any experts around us to teach us much about the plant.
Perhaps, as a fellow duckweed enthusiast, you might recognize yourself in our story. You might be an industry professional starting with some tray tests or a PhD student at the beginning of your academic career. We have gathered for you the state-of-the-art information about duckweed on this website, collaborating with the finest duckweed experts. We hope you find this website very interesting. About the European duckweed network
Albert Einstein once told: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them". May this be an inspiration for bringing people together from different backgrounds and expertise but with the same passion for duckweed. This highlights the goal of the European duckweed network. Bringing people together. A subobjective is also gathering the knowledge on duckweed and spread this as open-source as possible.
